Join artist duo, soprano Maria Danishvar and pianist Irina Davydova for a classical concert of Songs of Love on Friday 1st March.

They will perform popular arias and songs from opera, operetta and the musical from Handel, Mozart, Strauss and Puccini to Rachmaninov, Gershwin, Bernstein and Lloyd-Webber.

About Maria Danishvar

Maria Danishvar studied singing in Moscow, Russia and Kiev, Ukraine alongside her studies at the Moscow Academic Art College. She spent 3 years training with Alexander Petrov (tenor) before moving to the UK in 1997. She has sang with Bath Opera, Opera Piccola, Musica da Camera, Trowbridge Symphony Orchestra, Bath Philharmonia and as a soloist for many choirs and chamber ensembles in South West England and Wales and has performed in numerous recitals in England, Wales, Germany, Greece and Russia. Maria’s roles include Sally in “Thomas and Sally” in the Bath Music Festival, scenes from the “Marriage of Figaro” (The Countess), Songs of the Auvergne (with TSO), Acis in the BSU production of “Acis and Galatea”, Mabel in the “Pirates of Penzance” (the Teilo Singers), Michaela in Carmen with Durweston Music Society, Susanna in the student productions of the Marriage of Figaro. Maria has been studying with Rosa Mannion for the last 7 years and completed her Masters in Performance degree in 2016. She enjoys teaching singing, being passionate about music and singing technique. She regularly sings with an early baroque group “Musick in the Ayre” and performs in “Fabulous Duets” programmes with mezzo-soprano Arabella Heaton and pianist Elaine Korman.
