Last year, the Morrisons Foundation selected Camphill MK to receive a significant grant to support our community. The Foundation Team granted a very generous £21,730 so that we could replace the broken stage lift in the Chrysalis Theatre.

Our theatre & community space is valued in enabling community gatherings (assemblies, community-wide lunches, sports days etc.), performances, and skills development through drama-based workshops. We also hire the space externally for workshops, gatherings, classes, communities, performances and rehearsals, which generates valuable income. 

Once the lift was installed, the theatre went into immediate action with a community-wide ‘Punked Panto’ with all residents being able to be involved on-stage. The lift fits in with the aesthetics of the building perfectly and offers access that everyone should be entitled to.
