Milton Keynes Music Service, in partnership with local Rotary Clubs, will be holding the second annual Milton Keynes Young Musician of the Year competition. |
About this production...
At the recent Music Service Performance Festival, seven Music Service students were selected by the adjudicator from the 30 students who performed. The seven students now go on to compete in the MK Musician of the Year competition where they will perform to an audience and panel of judges including Paul Fensom (Head of Brent Music Service), John Witchell (former Chairman of the Federation of Music Services and former Head of Hertfordshire Music Service), and Lizzie Bancroft (musician and Head Teacher at Loughton Manor School). The evening will also be compered by Phillip Shell.
There will be performances on piano, flute, wiolin, horn, cello, oboe, and a performance from the Music Centre Advanced Jazz ensemble.
Come along and enjoy a great evening of music, and celebrate the efforts of the students involved. This really is an event not to be missed.
Head of Service, David Rose, said: "This is a marvellous opportunity for our students to showcase their talents. Many of these students will have learnt to play their very first notes with Milton Keynes Music Service teachers and we are delighted that the Rotary Club has recognised their musicality and their hard work by supporting this event."
