Each year the very best films from Kendal Mountain Festival are hand-picked to travel the world on the Best Of Kendal World Film Tour. Audiences across the UK and around the world get to experience the essence and inspiration of Kendal with a selection of the hottest action sports films. The Chrysalis theatre is pleased to announce that they will be hosting a leg of the tour on September 28th 2013. Not only this, but we will be joined by a special guest speaker in the shape of mountaineer Simon Yates.
Simon is one of the most successful mountaineers of his time, who first became known as “the man who cut the rope” holding Joe Simpson during a disastrous descent from Peru’s Siula Grande in 1985, a story immortalised in the film “touching the Void”.

Milton Keynes hosts some of the most diverse sports facilities, clubs and organisations within its community. Much, much more then just roundabouts and concrete cows. When we first decided to pay host to the Best of Kendal World Film Tour we thought what a fantastic opportunity for all of the sporting community of Milton Keynes to unite for one afternoon, to share the adventure. Which is where you come in, we are contacting each and every shop, club, association and sports facility to invite them to be a part of the unique festival. To date, no festival of this kind has taken place in Milton Keynes, and hopefully it will be the first of many. Come along and help us to unite the sporting community.
If you would like to find out more information about how you club, society or business can get involved then please contact us, the closing date for having a presence at the festival is the end of July…
