Arts1 Singers in Concert

Arts1 Singers in Concert is a performance of Musical Theatre and popular songs featuring our Arts1 Adult choir supported by young performers from our level 5 and 6 Musical Theatre classes. Arts1 adult choir is the award winning group that recently achieved first place at Milton Keynes Festival of The Arts for the third year running. Musically directed Musical Director James Grimsey the choir will be performing a wide range of fantastic songs including Pop, Musical Theatre, Classical, Barbershop and Contemporary A Capella.

The music in this years concert will have you tapping your feet and singing along, featuring the hit songs: Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen), I can’t make you love me (Bon Iver) and Who lives, who dies, who tells your story (Hamilton) there is something for the whole family. For the first time in recent years we are delighted to be returning to The Chrysalis Theatre.

About the Musical Director
James is Head of Vocational training and Creative Director at Arts1. James has been working as a voice trainer to actors, singers and coaches for over 20 years. His wide ranging coaching schedule includes working with the UK’s leading training institutions and conservatoires, with winning artistes as featured on the X-Factor and BGT, leads in West End musicals and some of the UK’s finest young talent. He has presented courses and workshops in the UK, Australia and the USA.

James is at the forefront of voice coaching using Estill Voice Training in the UK having learned from the worlds leading vocal gurus. His educational work with technical training for young people and choirs has inspired many thousands of people across the UK to find their voice and achieve their vocal potential. As an educator, James has extensive experience in post-compulsory education, he has held prestigious positions at several of the UK’s performance training conservatoire’s as recognised by DramaUK and the CDET. He continues to innovate in practice and advance his own development through a dedicated approach to inspiring the world to sing.
